Hawa Dafi

Seven musicians from Majdal Shams in the northern areas of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights came together and formed a band in 2012 that conveys a deep warm mixture that reverberates with global musical styles, resonating in its variety and simplicity with common daily life and reflecting the quest for identity, answers and peace.

The band participated in numerous local and international festivals, and has worked on music projects with artists around the globe. These include "Caravan" project with the Tunisian artists "Munir Troudi" and "Sami Ben Saed", another avenue is a music project that brought together Syria, Norway and Palestine in cooperation with the Norwegian singer Marthe Valle.

"Our Story" was the first album of the Band. Launched in 2015, it encompassed 12 songs that carried various dreams and inquiries and portrayed stories and aspirations. The album's songs included "Enta Meen", "Shobak Zgher" and "Shams Elhoryia".
